Beedles Lake Golf Club (East Midlands)

Beedles Lake Golf Club (18 holes, 6,641 yards, par 72) is a parkland course, founded in 1993. The club name comes from the 38 acre lake, excavated by barges in the 1950's, which the clubhouse overlooks and which boasts some fairly sizeable carp and pike. The course design makes excellent use of the natural surroundings and the course will provide golfers of all abilities with a stern test of their skill.

The clubhouse, located beside the lake, comprises of a pleasant lounge, conservatory and the 19th bar where soft spikes (ONLY) and golf attire can be worn. Breedon Priory Golf Club (East Midlands)

Breedon Priory Golf Club was established in 1991 and despite being quite young, its course has matured quickly in the last thirteen years and now presents players with a really challenging round, whether they are a high or a low handicapper. Indeed, players of all levels of ability will be quite dazzled by the challenges it poses, with some tight fairways, well-protected greens and water on some holes, so accuracy is absolutely essential, as is sound course management, good club selection and good concentration.

Comprising of gently sloping parkland, this 9 hole course, a Nottinghamshire treasure is only a 10 minute drive from Nottingham city centre. Edwalton encompasses everything the newcomer, occasional or established golfer desires. Edwalton Golf Centre provides a relaxed, tranquil and friendly atmosphere to all visiting golfers. The courses (one 9 hole, one 9 hole Par 3) are public, allowing visitors to simply turn up, hire clubs and trolley, pay and play.

Take A45 West towards Daventry. At Weedon traffic lights turn left in front of the Crossroads Hotel onto the A5, and immediately turn right into Weedon village. You will go under two bridges and take a sharp left hand bend, stay on this road through countryside until you reach a T junction at Farthingstone. Horsley Lodge Golf Club (East Midlands)

Horsley Lodge Golf Course was inspired by the late Bill White, who suggested to the owner of the land, John Salt, that he should build a golf course here in 1988. Greens were re-designed in 1999 by Britain's Walker Cup captain and former World Champion, Peter McEvoy. It was the first USGA specification 18 hole course in The Midlands and is quite spectacular.

Expertly moulded into 168 acres of wonderful Derbyshire countryside, this remains a thinking course where a variety of shot making skills are necessary to arrive at the green. Greens are fast, true and massive, with some incredible contours. [More...]

Morley Hayes - Manor Course (East Midlands)

It has been designed with tees of blue (6953 yards), white (6744 yards), yellow (6482 yards) and red (5902 yards). Our location, sitting equidistant between the M1 and the A38, is ideal for visitors from near and far.

Ruddington Grange Golf Club (East Midlands)

Ruddington Grange, the first of a new crop of Nottinghamshire golf clubs, is an attractive parkland-type layout. Although quite open, there is danger lurking in the way of cleverly positioned water hazards which come into play on eight holes.

At just over 6,500 yards, the course is not "long" by current standards and can be enjoyed by every standard of golfer. The course record of 68 was set in 1989 by Chris Hall and later matched by Lee Westwood. [More...]

From the back tees, Rutland County measures a healthy 6,401 yards, the yellow tees offer a challenging 5,922 yards, whilst the ladies face a testing 5,277 yards.

The course begins by heading east alongside the site of lost medieval village of Hardwick and skirts the boundary of the disused airfield RAF Woolfox Lodge.
